Good Faith Estimate

An older form used to disclose estimated loan terms. Most mortgages now use a Loan Estimate.

If someone still says good-faith estimate, they usually mean the early cost sheet. The form most loans use now is the Loan Estimate.

Compare that early sheet with the closing disclosure later. The numbers are allowed to move, and some of them do.
